Narrow Range Script in TopGun Software
January 9, 2009
The Best Forex Indicator Yet?
I recently came across another discussion about a new feature of Top Gun Software. Over the past few months I’ve come accross a few people over at Forex Forums who swear by this software, but until now, I haven’t seen something about it that warrants me purchasing it once and for all. This new feature they have called the Narrow Range Breakout Script. Supposedly there are special bars that Top Gun Software detects and draws these parallel lines on your charts where price begins to range.

You can easily do this yourself, however, to have a script draw these lines for you really takes out the guesswork involved with identifying ranges, channels, etc. On the above example,TGS detects a narrow range and whoever showed this example must have entered a short right below the lower channel (bottom purple line) and rides a 60pip or more move down! I’ve seen a few examples of this and am really salivating over how simple Top Gun has made forex trading.
I really am looking forward to trying out TopGunSoftware as soon as possible, I keep reading great things about the narrow range breakout script and many other scripts over at Forex Forums’ Software Indicators section. Anyone else have the ability to comment on TGS or the breakout script?

ToPGUN is a great great program. Perhaps the best tool you could ever use to trade with. Just try it out, you shall see!!!

Is there a topgun metatrader EA or Ex4 that you can to your charts in Mt4? I think it’s just way too much money to pay each month, it’s a lot of pressure added to HAVE to trade a specific amount “or else.”

Did you purchase the mentoring that goes along with TopGunsoftware’s programs? Just wondering if was worth it or not…

Alternatively you can use Top Gun Free if you sign up under their IB (introducing broker) program with FXCM or FXDD. But, you need to trade X amount of volume every month in order to keep using the software. This isn’t something you can find for free, they are able to turn your service on and off from their main office. Small price to pay for trading glory
I am still using my own broker by the way, will never switch back to FXCM for my own reasons.

TOP GUN is definitely the way to go. I’ve purchased alot of things in my day, but TGS was the best investment yet. Hands down.

Top Gun actually has a new tool which is better, its called the FX POWER INDEX. Basically it tells you which currencies are gaining against all others at the current moment. It allegedly is their best tool yet. Have you gotten a chance to use it?

Hawkeye,
TopGun is actually leaps and bounds ahead of MT4, there are NUMEROUS indicators that come with Top GUn that are completely unique to the software. Topgun is in a constant state of being updated and improved by it’s creators, and they offer live daily training on how to use the software (paid). I really can not think of a company that does more for forex traders out there, just try it out.

How exactly is Top GUn better than using Meta Trader, does it not have the same indicators? Why pay so much for topgun when MT4 is free?

Top gun is a really great tool, been using it for over a year, made so many extra pips thanks to it. Totally recommend it to anyone!!!

What lines are you referring to? Why are these so important? What makes them so reliable an indicator?

never heard of this top gun, where can I download a demo?
February 4th, 2009 at 1:50 pm
I’ve used this script. It really sucks!

Yea, this top gun is something else, it really helps you expand your trading capabilities by adding proactive indicators to your systems. I use it all the time, it’s constantly up on one computer and I use my broker platform on a different computer. It’s so good I have an entire computer system dedicated to running Top Gun.

What can I say? Top Gun really is a sweet piece of software, huh? Is it really worth it though?
January 26th, 2009 at 9:00 am
TopGun really does seem miraculous from all of the things I’ve seen, I’ve researched how this software is different, and there are MANY advantages, not for just Forex, but futures and stocks as well. The only huge drawback to this software is the price. I personally can’t afford paying the $250 a month or the required minimum trade volume with FXCM to get TopGun for free.
Oh well, maybe I’ll afford TopGun in my next life
