Other Peoples’ Money: Most ZuluTrade Signal Providers Don’t Get It.

January 15, 2011

I really mean this from the depths of my intelligence and from the bottom of my heart (a double whammy), that many ZuluTrade signal providers are just so unconcerned with our bottom line next to looking really good to us so that we may try them.  Knowing just a tad about business ethics from university, I know that when you trade with other peoples’ money that you owe them quite a bit of transparency and quite a bit of respect.  Is that evident in Zulutrade as a signal provider opens 15 of the same trade just to make 15 times the commission he would have done if he were a responsible money manager?

Not to say there aren’t fraudsters everywhere even in legitimate businesses, but it goes to the heart of the matter: avoid signal providers that open the same trade over and over A) to inflate their pips earned in their reporting and B) not make $0.40 off your trade rather $4.00 – times 1000 followers, these signal providers are making more than you and me combined on each trade and we usually have to win to earn, signal providers win whether we win/lose/draw!  I am not complaining at all about the service however, ZuluTrade is a very unique and useful tool in the hands of professionals, but quite literally anyone can become a signal provider on there and the smart ones know how to work the system, clearly but to who’s benefit if they just keep sticking around losing fortunes for real traders like you and me?

Look at this guy’s results, is he a trader or out to make money off of us?  You decide.
But I can share with you some of the comments despite this monstrous equity curve at +30,000 pips!

ZuluTrade - Signal Provider Performance

Who is to blame though: ZuluTrade for creating the competitive atmosphere or the Signal Providers finding the need to compete so much that they enter trades they would never have, they open more positions than most any mortal trader’s account could handle at once, and the worst of all, they hold on to trades for days, months, weeks, LOSING TRADES in the hopes they’ll one day go their way, why?  So that their win percentage is not tarnished.  So I think it is most definitely a mixture of both: Signal Provider’s ignorance toward OPM and Zulu trade creating this atmosphere: the “TOP” signal providers in their opinion being the ones that are the most reckless and most profitable; usually the most reckless who are not profitable are showcased and avoided, but not ones that make an inexplicable amount of pips in a week entering hundreds of trades.

In the end, I love ZuluTrade, use it every day, I just wish they would effect some changes over there in their top signal provider list to let signal providers that don’t fit their standard of being “the best” is or is not, or better yet let us decide some how.  My idea of a perfect signal provider is not one that I can make a fortune with, rather 5 or 6 that have sound strategies, with tight stop losses, not necessarily a great win percentage but much more pips gained than risked in any moment.

It’s really not about quantity (at least in this sense) it’s about quality and consistency, consistency in quality!  In that lies ZuluTrade’s saving quality that makes me use it regularly is the fact that they are a third party monitoring service of signal providers that make it incredibly easy for we traders to see what is going on with the people charged with OPM, our money specifically.  This is why I devote myself to finding the best group of signal providers that do not reach for the stars or care about looking good, they care about your, mine, their returns first!

Top Three Zulu Trade Signal Providers

November 24, 2009

Please be advised, I made this post years ago and the information understandably has become outdated, so you need to do your own researching on the current best signal providers to follow on ZULUTRADE.

The “BEST” ZuluTrade Signal Provider Is Subjective, differing from trader to trader.
Right now I’m using FLY ON THE WALL and a few others. (Last Update March 2, 2011)

Inevitably deepening on how you control the signal providers via your own settings could make them better or worse, meaning you don’t have to follow the shown stats literally; alternatively you could just trade with them near pip for pip based on their entries and exits and follow the stats literally.  This is all up to you making ZuluTrade a highly customizable and controllable place for those who can manage it best; some will not and lose money, this blog can not control if you are or are not one of the one’s who becomes a winner or loser on Zulutrade.  What we do try to do is find signal providers that are less likely to lose all of us money, myself included, so I’m with you traders too!
Today I took the time to find the most profitable ZuluTrade.com signal providers and list them here for you to follow yourself. We’ve been discussing up a storm over this on a few forums, in particular what makes these signal providers good, bad, profitable, or just a waste of time. There are close to 2000 individual signal providers with different strategies and trading styles available on ZuluTrade.com right now. Very few of them are profitable and even fewer are profitable enough to not get you into account ending trades.

This graph explained
Provider Name: What the Zulu Signal Provider Calls him/herself.
Pips Earned: Calculated over the last 12 Months, how much this Signal Provider has earned with pips lost subtracted. So this is the absolute value of pips gained and lost. Generally a signal provider should have a few thousand pips gained and NOT hundreds of thousands of pips gained, this is an indication of a scam.
Money Earned: How much this account has earned for its followers in the last 12 Months based on 1 Lot Trades.
Max Drawdown: Very important figure, the amount of negative pips the open trades of a Signal Providers has at any given moment. Generally, a nice drawdown figure of 100 or less is key, this proves that the system has some sort of stop loss in place and will not wipe your account out.
ROI: Return on Investment, in percentage.
Winning %: Is the percentage of trades over the last 12 Months this signal provider has won. I think a winning percentage of 80% or more is key, but so long as their wins outweigh their losses, this is not as important as avg pips per trade.
Followers: Perhaps the most telling figure available about Zulu Signal providers, how many other people are following this signal provider at the moment. This does not prove that this signal provider is going to make you money, but, there is safety in numbers and for some reason or another they are followed by a mass amount of traders.

As always, I would not recommend anything to you, my readers without trying it myself. That is why I am putting up $1000 of my own capital on trying these three signal providers on my own. I will give you updates on my progress but I invite you to come join me in following these signals today.

zulu1 The “Best” ZuluTrade.com Signal Providers

Past performance is not indicative of future results, especially on ZuluTrade, just a warning that the “best” today could be very bad tomorrow, aside from my definition of “best” and “worst” will obviously differ from yours.  These opinions are meant for educational purposes only.

ZuluTrade.com Scam or No Scam?

ZuluTrade Scam or No Scam

Please be advised, I made this post years ago and the information understandably has become outdated, so you need to do your own researching on the current best signal providers to follow on ZULUTRADE.

The question here is ZuluTrade.com a scam outright, or is it a website thT WILL TURN YOU INTO A PROFITABLE TRADER.

The truth of the matter is, Zulu Trader itself is not a scam, even though this website must make its creators millions of dollars each year, it really can make anyone who wishes to trade with them a success, if and only if you can find a successful signal provider whose signals you can follow.

Therein lies my concern that ZuluTrade.com is not a scam, but is filled with “scammers” in the sense that these so called signal providers have no business being in charge of their own money in this market let alone ours.

This is not true of some of the signal providers on Zulu, but the vast majority of signal providers will indeed lose you money. This is not an opinion on my part, rather a sober fact based upon researching on ZuluTrade.com.

Do Not Fear, MO4Forex is here… to find you some good signal providers.

Zulu Trade is very interesting in the sense that if you visit my section of it http://mo4forex.zulutrade.com you will see the signal providers that I have weeded out for you to be the most profitable and worthwhile to follow. This is rather important that you pick from one of these providers because very few others will make you money, rather, they will lose you money.

Our recommendations for finding good signal providers.

Firstly, you don’t need to take a signal provider’s results literally, in fact some signal providers even ask you to employ a stop loss for their own strategy!  This speaks volumes about the confidence of some signal providers, but I do agree, this is a great idea, to employ stop losses so your account does not need to endure a 100-1000 pip drawdown.  This could be disastrous for you even if the signal provider turns a profit with the losing trade in the end.

Next, never follow signal providers that enter 20 of the same trades at once, even though you can set in your own back end on Zulu trade that a signal provider can only open X amount of trades on X amount of different pairs at once, but regardless, it is a good indication that if a signal provider enters 20, 10, or even 5 of the same trade he/she is trying to milk ZuluTrade and you for all you are worth.  I am certain there is an entire section of the SEC and CFTC rules about fund managers not entering into excessive trades to increase cumulative commission, but Zulutrade seems to be a place this is rampant; but again not saying all signal providers are fraudulent, just many are trying to earn more every way they can but often at our expense, especially new traders to Zulu.

Today’s champion Signal Provider could be next weeks all time loser, you just can never tell and the very nature of any type of investment field is based on unpredictability.  I have total respect for this and many signal providers do not simply because they are not trading with their own funds.  Personally if I gave out signals I’d be worried about my results, not necessarily win percentage which can be very misleading but purely pips earned vs pips lost and how much of a drawdown is inflicted in order to acheive those gains.

Lastly, I’d recommend not following one signal provider but a dozen or more giving each limited control over your capital but enough to actually help you see a nice steady return.  I have another blog post on this if you could run a search for it you might learn how other’s earn on ZuluTrade quite effectively this way.

This is an old chart of signal providers from years ago, new signal providers are most definitely out now so please visit their website to browse the best.

ZuluTrade.com — Hype or Forex Heaven?

November 15, 2009

Zulu Trade Best Signals

Recently over at some forums, we’ve been discussing the many updates and improvements at ZuluTrade.com.  There are quite a few improvements on Zulu that, to me, make the website much more worthwhile to use and make profits with.

In light of all of the improvements, I believe ZuluTrade.com to be one of the most useful Forex Signal Sites ever created in history. The ease of use, reliability of the system, and the profitability of a select few of the signal providers there make it one of the greatest tools a Forex trader could have in his or her arsenal.
